Governance and Structure
The Columbia
Population
Research Center is a
semi-autonomous research unit within the University reporting to the Office of
the Provost. Our governance structure was devised to bridge the two Columbia University
campuses—the “downtown” Morningside Heights campus and the “uptown” Medical Center
campus. CPRC members are drawn equally from both campuses; as such there are
two co-directors, one from each campus, with shared and equal responsibility
for CPRC administration and governance.
