Tonya Pavlenko is a Research Associate at the Columbia Population Research Center. She manages data collection for a hard to reach sub-sample of the Fragile Families and Child Well-Being Study and contributes to analyses and reporting for the New York City Longitudinal Study of Well-Being.
Tonya graduated cum laude from Colorado College in 2015 where she studied Sociology and Studio Art. During her time at Colorado College, she was selected to co-author a statistical report on a tristate Planned Parenthood curriculum; chaired as a consultant at the Writing Center; and received departmental distinction for her senior thesis which analyzed the preparedness of US physicians to address social determinants of health in the wake of the Affordable Care Act.
In addition to her work at the CPRC, Tonya volunteers at the Institute for Family Health and the Columbia Student Medical Outreach Clinic.
