Biography

Marcie Rubin is a graduate student in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences in the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She received her MPH in epidemiology from the Mailman School of Public Heath and her MPA in public administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. Marcie is the recipient of a CDC Public Health Dissertation Research Grant for her project with sponsor Dr. Bruce Link that examines the disparities trajectory in mortality due to HIV/AIDS, lung cancer, and pancreatic cancer using a fundamental causes framework. Her research interests include the social determinants of health and health disparities.
