Before coming to CPRC, M.K. Babcock worked with the Columbia University IRB. Prior to that, her background was primarily arts-related. She spent 12 years studying and performing ballet. Throughout college and afterwards, she worked in community and summerstock theatre. Most recently she obtained an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, focusing on poetry, from Syracuse University. Her poems have been published in The Tampa Review, Fourteen Hills: The SFSU Review, So to Speak, Bird Dog Magazine, and Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review.
