Yang Jiang, Ph.D, is an associate research scientist at the National Center for Children in Poverty at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. As a family demographer, her research interests include public housing assistance, food assistance, early childcare subsidies and child poverty. Her recent research examines how multiple-welfare-program participation separately and jointly affects low-income children’s social and cognitive development.
