Brea Pichon

Program Coordinator

A native of Missouri, Brea attended the University of Miami, where she also served as a member of the ROTC. She graduated in 2013, with a BA in Psychology, and proceeded to have a short but rewarding career in the US Army. She comes to the CPRC from Thomas Publishing, where her responsibilities included research, management, and quality control—all in an effort to help business owners (small and large) generate commerce. With Brea's help, they connected with local, national, and international audiences within weeks even though they had no prior industrial experience or contacts.

Brea is fascinated by research within the multicultural psychology field, with a focus on African American inner-city youth & women and the psychological aspects of resiliency, self-identity, intersectionality, and well-being within those populations. She is also interested in the research surrounding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) within the military population as well as the identity paradigm minority service members face. Her passions include cycling, fencing, children, playing with her Shiba Inu Rio, and exploring the world with her wife.
