Heidi L. Allen

Associate Professor of Social Work


Professor Allen is an Associate Professor of Social Work and a member of CPRC.  Allen’s research focuses on health care access and quality for low-income American families.  She is an investigator on the Oregon Health Insurance Experiment, the first experimental study of the impacts of Medicaid expansions on uninsured low-income adults.  Recent studies include: the relationship between Adverse Childhood Events and adult health outcomes, Medicaid expansions and cancer screening and survivor follow-up, the built environment and adult health outcomes and the mediating effects of Medicaid.
