Laurel Sariscsany

Laurel Sariscsany is a doctoral student at the Columbia School of Social Work studying Social Policy Analysis.  Her research interests include wealth inequality, wealth building, and financial stability among low-income families. Laurel's current research explores the trajectories of informal, formal, and total child support as the time since parents' separation increases. In addition, her current research examines the role of welfare state benefits in closing the income gap among different family types. She received her B.A. in social work from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and an M.S.W with a research specialization from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.
