Rayven Plaza is a doctoral student studying Social Policy Analysis at the School of Social Work. Her research explores the intersection of socio-economic status, race/ethnicity, and disparities in health. Her current work investigates the relationship between income and health, as well as the effects of life shocks on the probability of entering or exiting poverty. Rayven received a B.A. in anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. in sociocultural anthropology from Columbia, and an M.S.W. from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
