Soohyun Kim

Doctoral Student, School of Social Work


Soohyun Kim is a doctoral student studying Social Policy Analysis at the Columbia School of Social Work. Her research interests are mainly focused on work-family support for women and vunerable families, and its impacts on family well-being, employment, and fertility. She is currently working on a project investigating an interaction between race/ethnicity and Paid Family and Medical Leave. Soohyun received her BA in Psychology and MA in Social Welfare at Seoul National University. She worked as a research fellow at the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korean Women's Development Institute prior to joining the PhD program.
